The Adjustment by Mike Folie was produced by the New Jersey Repertory Company in Long Branch, NJ in June/July 2003. It was directed by Suzanne Barabas, with set design by Fred Kinney, costume design by Patricia Doherty, and sound design by Merek Royce Press.

Sharon, a political lobbyist with a stiff neck, is skeptical about her new chiropractor, especially since he has Parkinson's disease and belongs to a radical sect of Judaism.



In an aside to the audience, she comments on how foolish she probably is for taking off her shirt in front of this stranger.



Sharon and the doctor flirt throughout her examination.



At a cocktail party, Sharon tries to get Eddie Machado to cut a business deal.



Sharon recalls memories of her mother.



In her hotel room at a political convention, Sharon awaits the doctor's arrival, though she has more than a neck adjustment in mind.



Sharon and the doctor dance to celebrate the success of the new medication he's been taking for his disease.



Then they share a passionate kiss.



Unfortunately the kiss caused the doctor to become comatose.



Sharon unsuccessfully tries to make him snap out of it.



Sharon visits him in the hospital where his Parkinson's disease is worse than ever.



Sharon visit's the doctor's Rabbi's office to bribe him into letting the doctor have a surgery that he forbids his followers to get.



Sharon throws open the door to the Rabbi's chambers, and sees his true power.
